Melissa is a design engineer, entrepreneur and ambassador. She is passionate about being a role model, not just for engineers, but for other young entrepreneurs, females from ethnic minorities and the next generation, showing that engineering can be a viable career choice for all.
At the age of 27, Melissa has achieved Chartered engineer status, recognizing her experience, pursuit of an engineering career, and recognition by an engineering council for her contributions to the field. She’s also a certified SOLIDWORKS professional user, a member of the SOLIDWORKS Champion program, a STEM & female role model, an advocate for women in engineering and a successful entrepreneur, running her own engineering consultancy business, Techwuman.
Melissa successfully completed a research masters (MSc) on The Digital Simulation of Attacking Structures, where she identified new methodologies for improving the efficiency of the design process for security products.
